NDA refers to National Defence Academy exam. It is conducted by UPSC for admission to the Army, Navy and Air force of the wings. This exam is very necessary who wants to defence force. It is conducted on national level twice a year. It help the students to make a career on defence. The UPSC is mainly taking the responsibility for this exam. Recently, supreme court has passed the interim order that now women also allows to join UPSC National Defence Academy.

The application forms for NDA (I) 2022 is released from 22nd December 2021.
- Application withdrawal date- 18 Jan, 2022- 24 Jan, 2022.
- Admit card- Third week before the exam date (Tentative)
- Examination date – 10 April, 2022.
- Declaration of result – May 2022
- Application form fee- Rs.100 for general category

NDA exam eligibility criteria
The nationality of the candidate must be Indian, a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees, or a person migrated from the countries such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, east African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
The age of the candidate must be between 16.5-19.5 years. He/she must have not been born before 2003 and not after Jan 2006.
The status of candidate must be unmarried for both male & female. Candidates should not marry until they complete their training in the academy.
The candidate must have good physical and mental health and should be free from any diseases.
The chest should not be less than 81 cm after full expansion. The expansion of the chest after full inspiration should be more than 5 cm.
The minimum height of candidate should be 157 cm, and for Indian force is 162.5 sm.
For vision if candidate have myopia then it will nit more than 2.5 D and if candidate have hypermetropia it will not more than 3.5 D.
Army wing of NDA – Candidate must be appearing/ passed class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
For Air force and Naval wings of NDA – Candidate must be qualified his/her class 12th examination with physics and mathematics.
